The Camaleonda modular sofa was designed by Italian architect Mario Bellini in 1971.This all original example has four sections. Two single arm chairs with 2 accompanying centre chairs. The entire suite retains its original patinated tan leather and each of the modules attach with rings and carabiners, allowing several configurations. For example; as a two- seater sofa with armchair and footstool , or take the backs off and use as a daybed. The design became famous almost immediately after it was featured in the exhibition "Italy and The New Domestic Landscape" held in the MOMA Museum in 1972
