"We have designed this sofa because we really needed a sofa. And the sofa wanted was one with an architectural character rather that a soft, smooth object. A sofa that could be set out in the middle of the room. We didnt want it to be pushed up against the walls; we wanted it to move around as needed. "The "Saratoga" is one of the first examples of Modern Living created in the 60s but already so far ahead of its time.
