Antella table designed by Kazuhide Takahama for Simon by Cassina 1975 and edited by Castorina in new Italian lacquer. The console table can be opened out into a full sized table. Two hinged elements that form the support are held together by a magnet. The top consists in two halves of an ellipse and entirely polyester lacquered with gloss .Floor support with rubber feet. Simon hosts a collection of designs and products which are true design icons. Kazuhide Takahama completed his architectural studies in Tokyo. As he came into contact with many of Italys most important designers, he began to elaborate his own stylistic lexicon in this lively climate of cultural exchange, this then progressively defined itself over time.

    Kazuhide Takahama was born in Japan in 1930 and after completing his studies in Architecture in Tokyo, started working in Kazuo Fuioka's studio. In 1957, he came to Italy to visit the Triennale in Milan where he met Dino Gavina with whom he was to work for many years. In 1963 he moved to Bologna and came into contact with the most active Italian designers of the time.

    He developed his own well-defined stylistic lexis in a climate of profuse cultural exchanges. The furniture he designs features clean lines and formal restraint. In his works signs from the eastern culture in which he was trained, and the Western culture in which he was immersed
